    lecturers from all over the world countless social life events Study Groups etc Everybody here finds his her place What are the challenges in your study program It was very easy to feel comfortable at the university because my mother tongue is Hungarian My dialect was a virtue on lessons although I had previously studied to switch consciously between standard Hungarian and highland brought from hometown Later I didn t notice when I was speaking like a girl from Budapest It depended on who I was talking to Dorm life and traffic were big challenges for me Furthermore the time management that a freshman must use very soon the biggest success is when you learn perfectly how will you have time for everything How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career I think that it s very important where you get your degree from It is not enough if you want this convulsively in the next five years after your final examination Learn how can you direct your own life and try to get the best If you re really interested in your program or what you would like to study and you re sufficiently open to influences of your scientific community nothing can save you from the success Do you have any advice recommendations for future students at ELTE When your first semester starts you should have a bright picture in your head how you would like to see yourself after graduation Be open to science and people take opportunities because to be a student is a very good thing even if there are a big pile of books lying around you Live social life take care of your health watch options for a study abroad year and try to learn as many

    and evaluated teams from all over the world and their arguments regarding the case This is just one of many examples that professors at ELTE are really competent and can think of unique ways to interest students in the subjects that they teach What were the challenges in your study program Probably the biggest challenge I had in my study program was the transition to studying law in a foreign language As you all know law has a really big and difficult terminology which is really hard for others to understand As a law student from Lithuania I wasn t that familiar with using English in law Fortunately as my time as an Erasmus student goes by I feel more and more confident in my legal English and I am absolutely sure that it will help me build my future career as a lawyer How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career As a future lawyer with actual work experience at a law firm my goal is to become an attorney at law so getting my degree is not an option but a must My knowledge gained from studies has helped me and my family many times for example defending my rights as a consumer against an airline company My studies as an Erasmus student at ELTE are a priceless and once in a lifetime experience because it just simply broadens you views and perspective about the world not to mention that you find friends for life from different countries in the world I think Erasmus is a great way to further integrate European Union countries and establish everlasting bonds between different member states and their people Do you have any advice to future students at ELTE For future students at ELTE I can

    high on the other hand independent thinking expressing your own opinions and interpretations play a much bigger role Majoring in Hungarian literature and linguistics and history at J Selye University I was able to gather an extensive knowledge and competences in both fields also developing an interest in other nations cultures a willing to collaborate with different nations and adapted a general mindset of tolerance and acceptance Studying at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary Literary and Culture studies has helped me in further increasing the aforementioned knowledge and keep those values as well ELTE s Doctorate School of Literary Studies has helped me to develop critical thinking academic independence has improved my writing skills and my ability to raise questions and elaborate on them I reckon all my experiences listed above are responsible for acquiring certain competences and a fairly wide horizon also gaining valuable information in my field of study which I will definitely need to move forward How do you think your degree will help you in your life and career It is necessary to get a PhD degree in my field of study but I also need experience to get on in life and in my subject and because of this I try to gain as much experience as I can Having a postgraduate PhD degree increases your credibility as a researcher and grants you a more successful academic career both by providing more special and in depth knowledge and creating an opportunity to extend your social network thus enabling you to establish important relationships with fellow academics who can help in research and different tasks and might facilitate your professional progress Do you have any advice for future students at ELTE I had the opportunity to attend courses of the other PhD
