Grand Slam tournaments the victories in doubles Of course the Youth Olympics is a good memory even in Singapore where I return now because of the WTA doubles Final How difficult was the transition from junior to adult doubles tennis I think it is very difficult to switch to the adult field The mentality is completely different the playing style is completely different The level is much more balanced the difference is much less between the players I have been a member of the top100 in singles and top10 in doubles for a while But I constantly feel the pressure This is an absolute difference from the junior events What difficulties you had at the beginning when you start with a new partner at almost every WTA tournament It is difficult to play every week with somebody else Constantly I had to get used to each other to adapt to her needs It was not easy at first Then I found Mandy Minella with whom we were good we won tournaments But We couldn t reached the next level The required large and important step occurred last year when I started to play with Kristina Fortunately the results also prove this What do is your favorite success from the WTA Tour Of course my first triumph in Monterrey the doubles Grand Slam finals Or just the singles victories against Ana Ivanovic and Samantha Stosur But it s hard to say which is the closest to Me There are so many wonderful experiences enriched year after year What is your most powerful side on court with Kristina Mladenovic Our styles complement each other well And when one of us has a low point the other can help her pull the level to the top We understand well each other we can

year s Road To Singapore leader board after making the semifinals of Miami and Roland Garros and winning a title at the Connecticut Open Qualifying for Singapore was the main goal of this season and we reached it so you can imagine how happy we were Hlavackova told WTATennis com We knew it would take some time to get back to our top position in doubles and though we are going to Singapore as the lowest seeds we are still super happy to get there and excited to show our good form from the last few weeks The Czehcs last qualified for the WTA Finals in 2012 when they reached the final as the No 2 seeds falling to Nadia Petrova and Maria Kirilenko after defeating Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond in straight sets It was a different season Hlavackova said of that week in Istanbul We had an absolutely amazing year behind us in 2012 we had won few tournaments played our best tennis and had all the momentum The pressure was there but we handled it really well Even though we lost in the finals it was one of our best experiences on WTA Tour and that s why we cant wait for Singapore Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina were the fourth team to qualify for the WTA Finals but Makarova who also peaked at No 8 in singles this spring has been sidelined since the US Open Despite her best efforts the Russian has found that she will not be ready for the rigorous demands that the tournament requires I am extremely disappointed that I will not be able to participate in the WTA Finals in Singapore as it was one of my goals for the season to qualify and compete there with Elena Vesnina Makarova said

to the mentality to the technique and for the favorite playing style of the new partner However it was obviously an advantage because Timi learned to do things that may have not learned along side of a constant companion She played on forehand side she played on backhand side She played alongside of a player who was very stable from the baseline but did not want to come to the net She played in addition with a player who hit the ball with great power but quickly spoiled the rally Over the years she got a kind of knowledge which made it possible to reach the highest levels in the future What kind of human qualities necessary to be a good doubles player Obviously adaptability a sense of openness empathy enduring the weaknesses of the partner enduring the various negative reactions of the enduring This is obviously not an easy thing In singles you may go on your own road you re doing your job In doubles the two player must have move on the same wavelength Obviously not always Timi was the better player sometimes she played poorly and the partner helped her At other times Timi the better player ont he court and she helped her partner This is a team effort that s why the doubles is good I think maybe the two best doubles player can start together they will be unsuccessful if they had no unity at least at the court It s necessary that you are also happy with your companions s success You will not be successful without these properties Was it an advantage at the beginning of the WTA career that Timi was so successful as a junior and at the ITF Pro Circuit I did not perceive the benefits of this Maybe they know her name maybe the youngest players know her personally But older players didn t know her for sure The ITF Pro Circuit is a different café then the WTA Tour as We say The newcomers didn t got a great welcome they didn t accept them with open arms They watch the newcomers carefully she belongs to Us or she not belong to Us Was it an advantage at the beginning of the WTA career that Timi was so successful as a junior and at the ITF Pro Circuit with a lot of partners There s an affectionate welcome The players fight not only for the ranking points but fight for huge money It s a very professional sport There are not great friendships between the players No it was not easy in the beginning to find partners Timi was not a well known player Mostly she had to play with those players who had no constant partners She was forced to play with them for sure she might had choose better partners compared to her level of expertise It seems that she was lucky because she played with a partner with whom whom she could be

Unfortunately today s match was not a success I had a lot of opportunity I had break points etc Big mistake if you didn t live with the chances against a top player I m sorry because I felt the game went well But I solved badly the important situations today Overall it was not that bad a week thanks for your support said Timi Before the US Open in the second round at Cintinnati the Czech player won 6 4 7 5 against Timi This time Pliskova was more careful and she celebrated az easier success In the 31 minute first set Timi had first a break points but she couldn t lived with it at 2 1 And it was crucial Pliskova won her opponent service game after 2 2 and she hold her serve in the sixth game from 0 40 At the end of the set the Czech player won her serve to 30 at 5 3 In the second set Timi kept her opponent till 2 2 But after that the more routine opponent played better and better Pliskova broke her Hungarian rival twice and finished the match as a receiver At the end Timi
